CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload and Selling Point are both highly-rated Shopify apps (5/5), but they cater to vastly different needs. CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload focuses on streamlining product image management, allowing merchants to efficiently upload and organize large numbers of product images, particularly useful during store setup, inventory updates, or seasonal changes. Its strength lies in automating image resizing, offering integration with cloud storage like Google Drive and Dropbox, and intelligently matching images to products based on various identifiers like SKU and title. This app targets merchants who frequently update their product catalogs and need to maintain high-quality product visuals. Selling Point, on the other hand, tackles the challenge of migrating or importing gift cards and store credits from other platforms or POS systems into Shopify. It streamlines the process of transferring customer loyalty programs and balances to the Shopify environment. The app facilitates the conversion of physical gift cards to virtual ones and enables bulk generation of gift cards for marketing campaigns. Selling Point directly addresses the pain point of merchants transitioning to Shopify from other platforms or those consolidating their sales channels and is designed to save significant time and effort compared to manual data entry or custom development.

Our Verdict
The choice between CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload and Selling Point depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant is setting up a new store, expanding their product line, or regularly updating product images, CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload is the clear choice. Its features directly address the challenges of managing product visuals efficiently.
However, if a merchant is transitioning to Shopify from another platform, integrating their online store with a different POS system, or simply looking to streamline their gift card and store credit management, Selling Point is the superior option. It automates a complex and time-consuming process, making it a critical tool for a smooth transition and consolidated customer loyalty programs. While both have excellent ratings, they are fundamentally different apps that solve distinct problems.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a new Shopify store setup?
CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload is significantly better for a new store setup because it directly addresses the need to populate the store with product images quickly and efficiently. Selling Point's features are less relevant until a merchant has existing gift card or store credit data to migrate.
Can Selling Point handle physical gift card balances?
Yes, Selling Point can import physical gift cards as virtual gift cards in bulk, allowing merchants to transition offline customer loyalty balances to the online Shopify platform.
Does CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload only work with images from Google Drive and Dropbox?
While CS ‑ Smart Bulk Image Upload highlights integration with Google Drive and Dropbox, it primarily functions as a bulk uploader. It can presumably upload images directly from a local computer as well, though this isn't explicitly stated, which is something to confirm with the developer.
What if I need both features, image management and gift card migration?
Unfortunately, one app does not provide both features. You would need to use both apps to accomplish both tasks. Consider the cost of each app and how often you would use each to determine if the investment is worthwhile. Also look for alternative apps that may combine some of the desired functions.
Which app will help me improve my store's SEO?
CS - Smart Bulk Image Upload, by optimizing product image uploads and potentially reducing errors leading to product returns (which positively impacts user experience and thus SEO), likely offers a slightly more direct benefit to SEO than Selling Point. While Selling Point enhances customer experience via a smooth gift card migration, this indirectly supports SEO rather than directly impacting it.
