Cupid ‑ Social Wishlist vs Swish (formerly Wishlist King)for Shopify (2026)
Cupid ‑ Social Wishlist and Swish (formerly Wishlist King) both aim to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales through wishlist functionality. However, they differ significantly in their current market presence and feature set. Cupid positions itself as a simple, pagespeed-friendly wishlist solution with core features like shareable wishlists and multiple wishlist options. Swish, on the other hand, emphasizes a feature-rich, highly customizable experience with advanced analytics and integrations. Swish appears to be targeting established merchants looking for a comprehensive wishlist solution with robust reporting and marketing integrations, while Cupid seems to be geared towards merchants who prioritize simplicity, speed, and ease of implementation. The significant difference in user reviews and ratings suggests a disparity in customer satisfaction and feature maturity, making Swish the clearly established and potentially more reliable option in 2026.

Our Verdict
Given the available data, Swish (formerly Wishlist King) is likely the superior choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its established track record (indicated by high ratings and numerous reviews), robust feature set including advanced analytics and marketing integrations, and free setup and customization service make it a powerful tool for driving sales and improving customer satisfaction.
Cupid ‑ Social Wishlist might appeal to merchants who are extremely sensitive to page speed and require only basic wishlist functionality. However, the lack of reviews and absence of integrations make it a riskier choice compared to the proven reliability and comprehensive features of Swish. A new store prioritizing the absolute fastest possible load times, and willing to sacrifice features to achieve that, *might* consider Cupid. Otherwise, Swish is the better option.
Common Questions
Which app offers better integration with marketing platforms?
Swish explicitly mentions integrations with Klaviyo, GA4, and Meta, making it the clear choice for merchants seeking to leverage wishlist data for marketing automation and personalized campaigns. Cupid does not mention specific marketing platform integrations.
Which app is easier to set up?
Swish offers a free setup & customization service, suggesting a relatively easy onboarding process despite its feature richness. While Cupid aims for simplicity, the lack of reviews makes it hard to definitively state ease of use.
Which app is more suitable for larger stores with established customer bases?
Swish, with its advanced analytics, robust feature set, and marketing integrations, is better suited for larger stores looking to leverage wishlist data for customer segmentation, personalization, and targeted marketing campaigns. Its customizability also helps maintain brand consistency.
Which app is better for a store that prioritizes pagespeed above all else?
Cupid claims to be 'Pagespeed Friendly, No External JS' which implies it's designed to be faster. However, this may come at the expense of features. Testing both apps on your specific theme is recommended to verify performance impact.
Does either app offer wishlist sharing?
Both apps mention wishlist sharing. Cupid states 'Share wishlists and enable recipients to purchase on behalf of a user' while Swish mentions allowing customers to 'Wishlist items throughout their entire shopping journey' which would imply they can share their wishlist at any time to purchase the items
