Currency Converter Plus vs Translify | Translation by APIfor Shopify (2026)
Currency Converter Plus and Translify | Translation by API both cater to merchants looking to expand internationally, but they address different core needs. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with automatically displaying prices in local currencies and offering a wide range of currency options with extensive customization, Currency Converter Plus is the clear choice. Its high rating, large number of reviews, and feature set geared towards currency conversion make it a robust solution. However, if the priority is translating store content for different language speakers via an API, Translify | Translation by API is the more appropriate option, although the limited number of reviews might warrant further investigation and caution. In many cases, merchants targeting international markets may eventually need both apps to cover both currency conversion and language translation needs, but should start with what is more critical to removing friction for customers in their initial target markets.
