Custom Form Builder by Websyms vs RetainIQfor Shopify (2026)
Custom Form Builder by Websyms and RetainIQ target vastly different needs for Shopify merchants in 2026, despite sharing a broad "Support - Other" category on the Shopify App Store. Custom Form Builder focuses on providing a flexible solution for creating and managing forms directly on a Shopify store. Its strength lies in its comprehensive feature set for form customization, submission handling, and integration with other platforms like Mailchimp, Stripe, and PayPal. This makes it ideal for merchants looking to collect data, gather feedback, or accept payments through custom forms. RetainIQ, on the other hand, centers on hyper-personalization for email and SMS marketing. Its value proposition revolves around enhancing customer retention and conversion rates through tailored communication based on individual shopper behavior and external factors like weather or location. RetainIQ is geared towards merchants seeking to elevate their customer engagement strategies and implement highly targeted marketing campaigns. The app's claim of creating "segments-of-1" highlights its advanced personalization capabilities, distinguishing it from more general email marketing solutions. While both apps ultimately aim to improve a merchant's business, they tackle different areas of the customer journey.
