CustomCat: Print on Demand vs FFOrder Dropshippingfor Shopify (2026)
CustomCat: Print on Demand and FFOrder Dropshipping both cater to Shopify merchants looking for sourcing options, but they operate under fundamentally different models. CustomCat focuses on print-on-demand services, enabling merchants to sell products with custom designs without holding inventory. Their value proposition lies in ease of use for personalized products. In contrast, FFOrder positions itself as a comprehensive supply chain partner, offering dropshipping, fulfillment, and branding solutions, particularly for sellers aiming to scale and establish their brand. They emphasize direct factory access, flexible branding, and global fulfillment, with a focus on quality control and dedicated account management. FFOrder is geared towards merchants seeking greater control and reliability in their supply chain as they grow. Their target audience is sellers who are already experiencing or anticipating scaling challenges and require more robust fulfillment and branding capabilities. CustomCat, on the other hand, is more suitable for merchants who prioritize quick product launches with personalized designs and have a relatively low order volume, where the print-on-demand model offers a simplified approach. While both apps address sourcing, they cater to distinct needs and stages of business growth.

Our Verdict
If you're starting a Shopify store and want to quickly offer customized products with minimal upfront investment and operational complexity, CustomCat is the better choice. Its print-on-demand model simplifies the process of creating and selling unique designs. However, if you're aiming to build a recognizable brand, handle larger order volumes, expand globally, and gain more control over your supply chain, FFOrder is the more appropriate solution. Their focus on branding, factory access, and quality control aligns with merchants prioritizing long-term growth and operational stability. FFOrder may present a steeper learning curve initially, but offers more scalability.
