Customer Account Pages Toolbox vs Wholesale Lock Manager: B2Bfor Shopify (2026)
Customer Account Pages Toolbox focuses on enhancing the customer account experience through branding, targeted messaging, and features like reordering and subscription promotion. Its core value proposition is improved customer engagement and increased sales through a personalized account area. Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B, on the other hand, centers around controlling access to content on a Shopify store, specifically for wholesale or B2B scenarios. It allows merchants to hide products, prices, and pages based on customer groups, requiring logins or passwords for access, thereby managing wholesale and retail operations from a single store. The key difference lies in their primary focus. Customer Account Pages Toolbox aims to improve customer retention and drive sales through an enhanced account page, while Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B is designed to manage B2B and wholesale operations by controlling access to content. Therefore, the ideal merchant for each app is vastly different, with one targeting general e-commerce brands seeking to boost customer engagement and the other targeting businesses with both retail and wholesale arms requiring restricted content for specific customer segments.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing customer retention and increased sales through enhanced customer accounts pages, Customer Account Pages Toolbox is the better choice. Its focus on branding, targeted messaging, and convenient features like reordering provide a compelling value proposition. However, the low number of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and tested performance.
Conversely, for merchants running both retail and wholesale operations and needing to control access to specific products, pricing, or content for different customer segments, Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B is the clear winner. Despite the slightly lower rating, the significantly higher number of reviews suggests it's a more established and tested solution for managing B2B access and wholesale pricing. If robust B2B content control is essential, Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B is the preferred option.
