Our Verdict
HOOK Social Login is the safer bet for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its 5/5 rating and 24 reviews indicate a reliable and well-received solution for simplifying the login process. Merchants focused on reducing cart abandonment and improving user experience during the initial stages of customer interaction should prioritize HOOK Social Login.
Customer Profile Extender, while potentially valuable for gathering more granular customer data, is a riskier choice given its lack of reviews and Japanese-only description. It may be suitable for merchants specifically targeting Japanese-speaking customers or those with a strong need for detailed customer profiles and the resources to understand the Japanese instructions, but for the average merchant HOOK Social Login is recommended.
