Customer Profile Extender vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
Customer Profile Extender (CPE) and Singleton | Verify Customers (SVC) both address aspects of customer accounts on Shopify, but target distinct needs. CPE focuses on enriching customer profiles with customizable data, allowing merchants to gather more information from customers through custom fields on the account page. Its strengths lie in its no-code interface for adding up to 5 custom fields and enabling customer self-service for profile updates. This benefits merchants aiming to personalize experiences and improve CRM data. The app's description is in Japanese, indicating a possible focus on the Japanese market. SVC, on the other hand, prioritizes customer verification and access control. Its strength is in allowing merchants to approve or decline customer access, effectively controlling who sees prices, "add to cart" buttons, or even store content. This targets merchants who need restricted access to their products or services, likely for wholesale, membership, or regulated industries.

Our Verdict
Based on available data, Singleton | Verify Customers appears to be the more established and reliable option with a perfect rating and numerous reviews, suggesting it effectively addresses its target market's needs. It is ideal for merchants requiring strict control over customer access and content visibility. Customer Profile Extender, while promising, lacks reviews and the English description makes it difficult to assess its reliability and ease of use definitively. It would suit merchants primarily focused on expanding customer profiles with customized data points and are willing to take a risk on a new application or specifically target the Japanese market.
Common Questions
Which app is better for B2B stores?
Singleton | Verify Customers is more suitable for B2B stores as it allows you to verify customers before granting access to pricing and product information.

Does Customer Profile Extender support languages other than Japanese?
Based on the provided data, it's unclear if Customer Profile Extender supports languages other than Japanese. The headline and description are only provided in Japanese.
Which app is better if I want to reward loyal customers?
