CustomerPlus vs HIKO Social Loginfor Shopify (2026)
CustomerPlus and HIKO Social Login both aim to streamline the customer login experience on Shopify stores, but they differ significantly in their current standing and feature set. CustomerPlus, with a focus on simplicity and security, promises effortless one-click social logins and data protection. However, it lacks any user reviews and has a 0/5 rating, which raises concerns about its functionality and reliability. It positions itself as the easy choice with seamless integration. HIKO Social Login, on the other hand, boasts a perfect 5/5 rating from 46 reviews, indicating a positive user experience and a more established presence. It offers a wider range of login options, including social media, Google One Tap Login, and email links, and emphasizes collecting essential customer information for enhanced personalization. It also includes integrations with popular marketing platforms. CustomerPlus appears to be targeting merchants seeking the absolute simplest implementation of social logins, potentially those prioritizing only a few key social platforms and with a strong emphasis on a quick setup. HIKO Social Login seems geared toward businesses that want a more comprehensive login solution, valuing customization, data collection, and integrations with their existing marketing tools. While CustomerPlus stresses ease of use and data security, HIKO focuses on flexibility and data capture alongside seamless login, expanding beyond merely basic social logins. The legacy customer account limitation of HIKO requires careful consideration, potentially making it unsuitable for migrations or shops with substantial existing account infrastructure. The absence of reviews for CustomerPlus makes it difficult to assess its claimed ease of integration and data security compared to the well-received HIKO Social Login.

Our Verdict
Given the current data, HIKO Social Login is the more reliable choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews indicate a well-functioning and user-friendly app. The extensive login options, data collection capabilities, and marketing integrations make it a valuable asset for businesses seeking to personalize the customer experience and improve marketing efforts. However, the 'legacy customer accounts only' caveat is a major consideration.
CustomerPlus might be suitable for stores that prioritize extreme simplicity and are comfortable being early adopters, assuming they can verify its claims of seamless integration and data security through thorough testing. However, the lack of reviews makes it a significantly riskier choice compared to the established and well-reviewed HIKO Social Login, especially if existing customer account migration is critical.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup. CustomerPlus highlights 'one-click integration', implying extreme simplicity. HIKO Social Login is described as 'easy setup' but also offers customization, which might require more configuration. The lack of user reviews for CustomerPlus makes verifying this claim difficult.
Which app is better for collecting customer data?
HIKO Social Login explicitly states that it gathers essential customer information like phone number, name, and country. CustomerPlus mentions 'valuable customer data' but doesn't specify what data is collected. Thus, HIKO appears superior for data collection purposes, provided the 'legacy account' limitation doesn't impede operations.
Which app is more secure?
Both apps claim to prioritize data security. CustomerPlus highlights 'safeguarding and protecting user information'. HIKO doesn't explicitly mention enhanced security over the default social network security. Without third-party security audits or user testimonials to back up CustomerPlus's claims, it's difficult to determine which app is truly more secure.
What does 'legacy customer accounts only' mean for HIKO Social Login?
The 'legacy customer accounts only' limitation of HIKO Social Login likely means it doesn't fully support brand-new customer accounts created directly through its system. The app may be designed primarily to streamline the login process for customers who already have an account on the Shopify store, created using another system or method. This is something that MUST be taken into account when deciding which app to use.
Should I use CustomerPlus despite the lack of reviews?
Using CustomerPlus despite the lack of reviews is risky. Consider it only if you are comfortable being an early adopter, have a strong technical background to troubleshoot potential issues, and are willing to thoroughly test the app before relying on it for your entire customer base. Look for third-party security validation, if available.
