Our Verdict
Notifications by Modd Apps is the stronger recommendation for most Shopify merchants in 2026 due to its superior rating, significantly higher number of reviews, and broader functionality that addresses common needs for automation and communication. Its ability to trigger actions based on shop events, including sending emails, updating tags, and managing metafields, makes it a versatile tool for improving customer experience and streamlining internal processes. CW: Order Exporter & Scheduler might be considered by merchants with very specific needs for scheduled order data exports and integrations with legacy systems or external data warehouses. However, the low rating and limited feedback suggest potential issues with reliability or usability that should be carefully considered before making a purchase.
