D: Request a Quote, Hide Price vs Pandectes GDPR Compliancefor Shopify (2026)
D: Request a Quote, Hide Price and Pandectes GDPR Compliance serve entirely different purposes for Shopify merchants. D: Request a Quote focuses on sales enablement by allowing merchants to offer customized quotes and hide prices, catering specifically to businesses with complex pricing structures or those offering customized products. This app appears to be targeted towards B2B businesses or those selling high-value items where negotiation is common. Pandectes GDPR Compliance, on the other hand, is a legal compliance tool designed to assist merchants in adhering to global privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. It focuses on managing customer consent through cookie banners, automated policy updates, and compliance certifications. While Pandectes GDPR Compliance is rated slightly higher at 5/5 compared to D: Request a Quote's 4.5/5, the substantial difference in review volume suggests Pandectes' rating is based on a much larger user base. Both apps share a common category of 'Notifications,' likely referring to email notifications for quote requests or data requests, respectively, but their core functionalities and target audiences diverge significantly.

Our Verdict
The choice between these two apps depends entirely on a merchant's needs. If a merchant's priority is enabling quote requests and managing pricing flexibility, D: Request a Quote is the more suitable option. This is especially true for B2B businesses or those with complex or custom products. However, if the merchant's primary concern is ensuring compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, Pandectes GDPR Compliance is the clear winner. Almost every Shopify store should strongly consider a GDPR app, and Pandectes' high rating and large user base make it a strong contender in this category.
Given the increasing importance of data privacy, Pandectes GDPR Compliance is arguably the more essential app for a wider range of Shopify merchants. While D: Request a Quote provides valuable sales tools, legal compliance is often non-negotiable.
