D2S: Days To Ship vs WebAppsLive ‑ Fields Managerfor Shopify (2026)
D2S: Days To Ship and WebAppsLive ‑ Fields Manager, while both leveraging metafields within Shopify, cater to distinctly different merchant needs. D2S focuses on improving the customer experience by providing transparent shipping timelines directly on product pages. Its strength lies in its configuration options, allowing merchants to customize the 'days to ship' message based on product variations, language, and business days. The target audience is merchants who want to manage customer expectations regarding shipping times, potentially reducing cart abandonment and improving customer satisfaction. WebAppsLive ‑ Fields Manager, conversely, targets merchants struggling with the inherent limitations of Shopify's bulk metafield management. Its primary strength is the ability to efficiently edit, delete, and export product metafield values, either individually or in bulk. This app is positioned as a tool for data management and internal process optimization. It also includes a unique feature for printing custom field values on print slips, useful for order fulfillment. The target audience is merchants with a large number of products and complex metafield data who need efficient ways to manage them. The shared 'Metafields' category reflects the technical underpinnings of both apps, but their practical applications and intended users are vastly different.

Our Verdict
If you are a merchant primarily concerned with improving customer trust and transparency regarding shipping times, then D2S: Days To Ship is the more suitable choice. Its focus on customizable shipping messages and consideration of business days provides a customer-centric approach.
However, if your main pain point is the inefficient management of product metafields, especially in bulk, then WebAppsLive ‑ Fields Manager is the clearly superior option. Its features for editing, deleting, and exporting metafields, combined with the print-slip functionality, directly address the needs of merchants struggling with data management within the Shopify platform.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
D2S setup might involve theme adjustments, though they offer help. WebAppsLive setup appears simpler, focused on direct metafield manipulation via buttons.
Can I use both apps together?
Yes, both apps can technically be used together. D2S relies on metafields, which WebAppsLive can manage. However, their functionalities are independent; one does not require the other.
Which app helps me make more sales?
D2S aims to increase sales indirectly by building customer trust through transparent shipping estimates. WebAppsLive improves internal efficiency and doesn't directly impact sales.
If I have hundreds of products, which app is better?
WebAppsLive is the superior choice if you need to manage metafields across hundreds of products, especially if those metafields already exist. D2S becomes relevant after the base metafield data is handled.
Do either of these apps integrate with other shipping apps?
Neither description mentions direct integration with shipping apps. D2S manages *estimated* ship times, while WebAppsLive is a pure metafield management tool, so direct integration with shipping apps isn't their core value proposition.
