Our Verdict
The choice between DataChamp and Rechnungsprinter Pro hinges entirely on the merchant's needs. If a merchant requires comprehensive data export and reporting capabilities for various aspects of their Shopify store (orders, products, customers, metafields) and needs to automate data delivery to different platforms, DataChamp is the clear choice. However, for merchants located in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland who are primarily concerned with generating legally compliant invoices and integrating with DATEV, Rechnungsprinter Pro is the superior option, despite having fewer reviews.
Common Questions
Can DataChamp create legally compliant invoices for merchants in Germany?
DataChamp offers extensive data export and formatting options but doesn't explicitly guarantee legal compliance with German invoicing regulations. Rechnungsprinter Pro is designed to meet those specific requirements.
Does Rechnungsprinter Pro offer the same level of data export customization as DataChamp?
Rechnungsprinter Pro focuses on invoice creation and DATEV integration and doesn't appear to offer the same broad data export customization as DataChamp with its 500+ fields.
Is DataChamp suitable for merchants outside of Europe?
Yes, DataChamp is suitable for merchants globally who need flexible data export and reporting. Its value proposition isn't tied to specific geographic regulations.
Which app is easier to use for beginners?
While DataChamp offers more functionality, its intuitive editor likely makes customization relatively straightforward. Rechnungsprinter Pro may be simpler to set up if the merchant is only concerned with legally compliant invoices within the supported countries.
If I need both legally compliant invoices and comprehensive data exports, do I need both apps?
Potentially. If the data fields offered by Rechnungsprinter Pro are insufficient for your reporting needs, you may need both apps. Consider evaluating the available data export from Rechnungsprinter Pro first before committing to DataChamp.
