DataChamp Order Export XLS/CSV vs TrueCommerce Order Fulfillmentfor Shopify (2026)
DataChamp Order Export XLS/CSV and TrueCommerce Order Fulfillment, while both listed under the ERP category in Shopify, cater to distinctly different needs. DataChamp is geared towards providing merchants with granular control over their data, allowing them to create customized reports and automate exports for analysis, accounting, and other data-driven operations. Its strength lies in its flexibility and extensive field selection (500+), making it ideal for merchants who need to manipulate and analyze their Shopify data outside of the platform. This makes it a valuable reporting tool and a good integration solution for systems that are not ERPs. TrueCommerce, on the other hand, is designed for merchants requiring a full ERP integration, focusing on streamlining order fulfillment, inventory management, and EDI compliance. It aims to automate communication with retail customers via EDI, manage GS1-128 labels, ASN creation, and 3PL communications, things DataChamp does not address. The absence of reviews for TrueCommerce suggests it might be a newer app or one with a niche user base that doesn't frequently leave reviews, or a smaller user base compared to DataChamp. This comparison highlights the need to assess whether your business needs highly customizable reporting capabilities or a full ERP integration for comprehensive order and inventory management.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who primarily need detailed reports and data manipulation capabilities, DataChamp is the clear choice, evidenced by its positive rating and user reviews. The ability to customize reports with over 500 fields and automate exports to various destinations makes it a powerful tool for analysis and integration with other systems that are not ERPs.
However, for merchants experiencing significant challenges with order fulfillment, inventory management, and EDI compliance, particularly as their business grows, TrueCommerce offers a more comprehensive ERP integration solution. While the lack of reviews makes it difficult to assess its usability, its focus on streamlining these critical processes makes it a potentially valuable investment if those are the pressing needs of your business. Therefore, the best choice hinges on whether your business requires extensive data manipulation or comprehensive ERP integration.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
With 66 reviews and a 5/5 rating, DataChamp likely has a smoother onboarding experience. TrueCommerce lacks reviews, making ease of use difficult to determine but it likely has a steeper learning curve due to its ERP integration focus.
Which app is better for automating order fulfillment?
TrueCommerce is designed specifically for automating order fulfillment, inventory, and ERP processes, while DataChamp focuses on data extraction and reporting.
Which app is better for creating custom reports?
DataChamp excels at creating custom reports with its extensive field selection (500+) and flexible export options. TrueCommerce is focused on ERP, and is not for creating reports.
Which app is better for EDI compliance?
TrueCommerce explicitly handles EDI compliance. DataChamp does not offer EDI capabilities.
If I need both custom reporting AND ERP integration, which app should I choose?
Neither app fully covers both. DataChamp is the best if custom reporting is your priority, while TrueCommerce is best if ERP integration is. A combination of apps (if integration between them is possible or if they each focus on different data) or a different app entirely would be needed to fully cover both requirements.
