Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with GDPR compliance and user privacy, DB GDPR Cookie Consent Banner is the more suitable option. Its high rating, albeit based on a single review, coupled with explicit mentions of customization and theme compatibility, inspires confidence. It offers a straightforward approach to compliance without compromising user experience, provided the single review is trustworthy. Discount Cookie ‑ GDPR banner is better suited for merchants willing to experiment with incentivized cookie acceptance to boost data collection. However, the lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice, and merchants should carefully consider the ethical implications of using discounts to influence user behavior. Due to the lack of reviews for Discount Cookie and the uncertainty around its compliance, DB GDPR Cookie Consent Banner is a better starting point for most merchants.
