Our Verdict
For merchants who are primarily concerned with showcasing their products through visually engaging slideshows and driving immediate traffic to specific product pages, DC: Image Slideshow Slider might seem like a good choice, if it was not for the very low ratings and small sample size. However, the extremely low rating of 1.9/5 suggests that there may be significant issues with the app's functionality or user experience. In 2026, these issues may or may not have been addressed, but the low rating should give a merchant cause for pause.
On the other hand, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is a clear choice for merchants who prioritize website performance, SEO, and a better user experience. Its automated optimization, bulk editing capabilities, and SEO-focused features make it a valuable asset for any Shopify store looking to improve its search engine ranking and site speed. The high rating and large number of reviews provide more confidence in the app's reliability and effectiveness.
