Delhivery ‑ Logistics Platform vs Shipping Rates Rules & Zonesfor Shopify (2026)
Delhivery ‑ Logistics Platform and Shipping Rates Rules & Zones cater to vastly different needs within the Shopify delivery ecosystem. Delhivery positions itself as an end-to-end logistics solution, especially for merchants targeting the Indian market. Its core strength lies in providing access to a wide delivery network, particularly in remote areas, and automating shipping workflows. Shipping Rates Rules & Zones, on the other hand, focuses on providing granular control over shipping rates and zones, enabling merchants to customize delivery costs based on various factors. This app is suitable for merchants requiring highly specific shipping configurations not provided by standard Shopify settings or carrier-calculated rates alone. The primary difference is that Delhivery offers a complete logistics solution with shipping infrastructure, while Shipping Rates Rules & Zones provides advanced tools for rate customization. Delhivery promises faster deliveries, COD remittance, and a dedicated support manager. Shipping Rates Rules & Zones empowers merchants to create custom shipping zones and rules based on product attributes, order value, or time of day. A key consideration is that Shipping Rates Rules & Zones *requires* Carrier-Calculated Shipping (CCS) to function properly. The ratings reflect the difference in user experience: Delhivery's lower rating suggests potential issues with the end-to-end experience, while Shipping Rates Rules & Zones' perfect rating suggests it delivers on its promises for its niche use case.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily targeting the Indian market and seeking a comprehensive logistics solution, including warehousing, delivery, and COD remittance, Delhivery is the more suitable option. However, the low rating should be a point of concern, and careful due diligence is recommended. For merchants worldwide who need advanced control over shipping rates and zones based on various criteria (weight, product attributes, location), Shipping Rates Rules & Zones is the superior choice, assuming they already utilize Carrier-Calculated Shipping. It empowers merchants to tailor shipping costs precisely, which can optimize conversions and profitability.
If a merchant needed both features, such as an Indian-focused business requiring granular control of shipping rates within India, they may need to use both apps in conjunction or seek an alternative app providing both features in a single solution. Given the ratings, exploring alternatives before committing to Delhivery is prudent.
