Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers vs Fraud Controlfor Shopify (2026)
Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers and Fraud Control both aim to help Shopify merchants combat fraud, but they approach the problem with distinct strategies. Deliverlitics positions itself as an AI-powered, data-driven solution focusing specifically on *delivery* scams, leveraging merchant-side data (returns, reships, support messages) to identify and block risky orders *before* fulfillment. It targets merchants heavily impacted by 'friendly fraud' and repeat delivery scammers who are looking for a proactive, automated approach to fraud prevention. Fraud Control, on the other hand, takes a more generalized approach, offering tools to understand overall fraud risk through analytics and allowing merchants to block potentially fraudulent *checkouts* using predefined or custom rules. While also supporting automation, Fraud Control appears to focus more on identifying and blocking known fraudsters early in the purchase process. The target audience seems to be merchants seeking a broader understanding of their fraud landscape and control over rule-based fraud prevention. However, it is important to consider the significant rating discrepancy between the two apps.

Our Verdict
For merchants specifically struggling with high rates of delivery scams and 'friendly fraud', Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers appears to be the stronger choice, offering targeted AI-powered analysis and automation to prevent losses. Its higher rating, despite fewer reviews, suggests a higher level of user satisfaction within its niche. The 'first 100 delivery scams free' offer could be a valuable way to test its effectiveness.
Fraud Control might be more suitable for merchants seeking a broader, more general fraud prevention solution with a focus on blocking fraudulent activity *before* it results in orders. However, the significantly lower rating raises concerns about user experience and effectiveness. Merchants should proceed with caution and carefully evaluate whether its rule-based system and analytics tools meet their needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
While neither app description explicitly details ease of setup, Deliverlitics' focus on automation and AI-driven insights might imply a simpler initial configuration compared to Fraud Control's rule-based system that could require manual setup and maintenance. User reviews, if available, would offer better insight.
Can either app handle international fraud?
Neither app description explicitly mentions international fraud handling. However, Fraud Control's rule-based system *could* potentially be configured to address international fraud patterns if those patterns are known. Deliverlitics' merchant data analysis might also detect unusual international activity if it deviates significantly from established patterns.
How do the apps handle false positives?
Deliverlitics mentions identifying and protecting trusted customers, suggesting a mechanism to avoid false positives. Fraud Control doesn't specifically address this, which could be a concern depending on the flexibility and sophistication of its rule-based system. Careful rule configuration would be necessary to minimize falsely flagging legitimate customers.
Which app provides better reporting and analytics?
Fraud Control explicitly states that it provides 'Fraud risk reports for your store' and 'Analytics to show fraud trends over time.' Deliverlitics focuses more on immediate action and doesn't specifically highlight reporting capabilities, though it implicitly uses merchant data to detect risky behavior.
Does Deliverlitics replace standard fraud filters offered by Shopify?
Deliverlitics claims to be different from 'generic fraud filters,' implying it offers a more targeted and sophisticated approach. It uses merchant-specific data that standard filters typically lack, providing a more granular and proactive protection against delivery-specific scams and friendly fraud.
