Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers vs Fraud Shieldfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, choosing between Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers and Fraud Shield for fraud prevention requires careful consideration. Deliverlitics focuses specifically on delivery scams and "friendly fraud" using AI to analyze merchant-side data like returns and support messages. Its strength lies in identifying repeat scammers and automating responses, appealing to merchants struggling with post-purchase fraud. Conversely, Fraud Shield aims for broader fraud detection with a statistical fraud scoring system and customizable rules, positioning itself as a flexible solution for businesses with complex fraud prevention needs and the expertise to define their own rules. The key difference is the approach to fraud detection. Deliverlitics emphasizes automated, AI-driven detection based on merchant data, requiring less manual configuration. Fraud Shield empowers merchants to define their own rules and relies on statistical scoring and geo-location data. Therefore, the choice depends on a merchant's preferred level of involvement and the specific type of fraud they are targeting. A merchant experiencing high volumes of delivery-related scams would likely benefit more from Deliverlitics, while one requiring granular control over fraud rules might prefer Fraud Shield.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with delivery scams and friendly fraud, Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers appears to be the more suitable option. Its AI-powered approach and automation features simplify the fraud prevention process. The positive early reviews (5/5 with 7 reviews) suggest that it delivers on its promises. The "First 100 Delivery Scams Free!" offer provides a risk-free trial period, enabling merchants to evaluate the app's effectiveness.
Fraud Shield, while potentially powerful, lacks any user reviews, making it difficult to assess its real-world performance. It might appeal to larger or more sophisticated merchants with dedicated fraud teams and the resources to configure and maintain complex fraud rules. However, the absence of reviews introduces a higher degree of risk. Without user feedback, it's hard to determine the effectiveness of its statistical scoring and customizable rules in reducing false positives, a critical factor for any fraud prevention system.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Deliverlitics is likely easier to use for merchants who prefer an automated solution, as it relies on AI to analyze merchant data and flag high-risk orders. Fraud Shield requires manual configuration of fraud rules, which demands a deeper understanding of fraud patterns and potentially more technical expertise.
Which app is better for preventing delivery scams?
Deliverlitics explicitly targets delivery scams and friendly fraud, making it the more specialized and potentially effective solution for this specific type of fraud.
Which app offers more customization?
Fraud Shield provides greater customization through its fully customizable fraud rules, allowing merchants to tailor the system to their specific business needs and risk profiles.
How do the apps handle trusted customers?
Deliverlitics explicitly states it identifies and protects trusted customers, preventing them from being falsely flagged. Fraud Shield does not mention a specific feature for managing trusted customers, but its customizable rules might allow merchants to create rules to whitelist them.
What kind of data does each app use for fraud detection?
Deliverlitics analyzes merchant-side data, such as returns, reships, refund requests, and support messages. Fraud Shield uses statistical fraud scoring, geo-location technology, and customizable rules, relying on a broader range of data points but seemingly less on merchant specific post-purchase data.
