Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers vs OneGuard Age / ID Verificationfor Shopify (2026)
Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers and OneGuard Age / ID Verification, while both categorized under 'Fraud' on Shopify, address fundamentally different types of fraud. Deliverlitics focuses on preventing delivery scams and friendly fraud by analyzing merchant-side data and flagging high-risk orders before fulfillment. It targets merchants struggling with chargebacks and losses due to customers falsely claiming non-receipt or damaged goods. OneGuard, on the other hand, centers on age and identity verification, ensuring customers are of legal age to purchase restricted goods. It targets merchants selling products like alcohol, tobacco, or regulated pharmaceuticals, helping them comply with legal requirements and avoid fines. The core difference lies in their proactive vs. reactive approach. Deliverlitics is proactive, aiming to prevent fraudulent orders from being fulfilled, while OneGuard is reactive, verifying identity *after* checkout and holding orders for unverified customers. Deliverlitics emphasizes internal data analysis and automated actions, promising customization to existing workflows. OneGuard focuses on secure data handling, global document support, and real-time verification. Both have high ratings, but Deliverlitics boasts a larger number of reviews, suggesting a potentially more established user base.

Our Verdict
The choice between Deliverlitics and OneGuard depends entirely on the specific needs of the merchant. If a store is plagued by delivery scams, friendly fraud, and subsequent chargebacks, Deliverlitics is the clear choice. Its data-driven approach to identifying repeat offenders and high-risk orders can significantly improve profitability. On the other hand, merchants selling age-restricted products *must* prioritize legal compliance. OneGuard provides the necessary tools to verify customer age and identity, minimizing the risk of fines and legal repercussions. While both apps aim to reduce losses, they do so by addressing completely different problem areas.
For a general store selling non-age-restricted goods and experiencing delivery fraud, Deliverlitics is the better option. If selling alcohol online, OneGuard is essential, almost regardless of other fraud issues. Ultimately, the best approach might be to use both apps if a store suffers from both types of fraud *and* sells age-restricted items, but that is a very specific scenario.
