Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers vs reCAPTCHA spambusterfor Shopify (2026)
Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers and reCAPTCHA spambuster, while both falling under the "Fraud" category on Shopify, address fundamentally different types of fraud and target different vulnerabilities. Deliverlitics focuses on protecting merchants from delivery scams and "friendly fraud" by analyzing merchant-side data to identify high-risk orders *before* fulfillment. It leverages AI to detect patterns indicative of fraudulent behavior related to order delivery, returns, and refunds. ReCAPTCHA spambuster, on the other hand, protects stores from bots and spam submissions on forms, such as contact forms, login pages, and newsletter sign-ups, aiming to reduce overall noise and prevent automated abuse. The key difference lies in the *type* of fraud they combat. Deliverlitics actively reduces fraudulent orders before they become an issue, while ReCAPTCHA acts passively against spam. Delivelitics allows the customization of risk response while reCAPTCHA allows spam sensitivity adjustments. Additionally, Deliverlitics emphasizes protecting trusted customers by preventing them from being misidentified, and offers actions based on risk level, while reCAPTCHA provides weekly spam reports. The app ratings currently reflect a substantial difference in perceived effectiveness, with Deliverlitics receiving a 5/5 based on 7 reviews, and reCAPTCHA spambuster receiving a 2/5, also based on 7 reviews. Both apps have a similar amount of reviews but very different rating. Both apps have a 2 minute setup wizard. Delivelitics offers 100 delivery scams free.

Our Verdict
The choice between Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers and reCAPTCHA spambuster depends entirely on the specific fraud problems a merchant is facing. If a merchant is experiencing a significant amount of delivery scams and "friendly fraud" resulting in chargebacks, Deliverlitics is the clear choice, especially with its focus on analyzing merchant data and taking proactive action. If a merchant is bombarded with spam submissions on forms and suspects bot activity, reCAPTCHA spambuster might be a suitable solution. However, the low rating suggests a potential lack of effectiveness or user satisfaction that should be investigated further by the merchant before purchase. In summary, Deliverlitics is for preventing monetary loss due to scam orders, whereas reCAPTCHA aims to reduce spam and bot submissions.
Given the low rating of reCAPTCHA spambuster, merchants should seriously consider exploring other reCAPTCHA alternatives that may offer better performance and user experience, assuming spam bot attacks are the problem. If delivery and friendly fraud are the problem, Deliverlitics seems well positioned to offer a good solution. Consider using free trial periods to assess effectiveness.
