Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers vs Risksumo — Prevent COD Fraudfor Shopify (2026)
Both Deliverlitics: Stop Scammers and Risksumo — Prevent COD Fraud aim to help Shopify merchants combat fraud, but they target different types of fraud and employ distinct approaches. Deliverlitics focuses on preventing delivery scams and "friendly fraud" by analyzing merchant-side data like returns and support messages to identify repeat offenders and risky orders *before* fulfillment. It offers automated actions and customization to integrate with existing workflows. Risksumo, on the other hand, is specifically designed to prevent fraud associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. It uses fraud prevention rules to assign risk levels to orders and provides explanations for flagged orders. Deliverlitics' strength lies in its proactive, AI-powered approach to identifying potentially fraudulent customers based on historical data and preventing scams before they occur. It appears to be targeted at merchants experiencing significant losses due to delivery-related fraud and seeking a comprehensive, automated solution. Risksumo's strength is its focus on COD fraud, which is a common issue in specific markets. It offers a more straightforward risk assessment system with clear explanations, making it suitable for merchants primarily concerned with COD order verification. The "choice of fraud assessments" implies greater user control and customization in setting risk parameters, within the COD fraud context.
