Our Verdict
Delm ‑ Estimated Delivery Date is the safer, more universally applicable choice for merchants seeking a reliable app to improve their delivery estimates. Its high rating and substantial review count suggest a proven track record. It is suitable for almost any Shopify store, regardless of location or specific delivery needs. Quiver, while boasting a compelling value proposition of immediate delivery and sustainability, is currently limited by its geographic availability and lower rating and review count. It's best suited for merchants in London or Paris (or soon-to-be launched cities) who prioritize ultra-fast delivery and have a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, and who are comfortable with the potential risks associated with a newer, less-established service.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to have a simple setup, but without user testimonials for both, it is hard to verify this. Quiver specifically states they handle the integration and logistics, which could make it easier for merchants who lack logistical expertise.
Which app is more scalable?
Delm ‑ Estimated Delivery Date is likely more scalable, as its functionality (providing estimated delivery dates) is independent of geographical location. Quiver's scalability depends on its expansion into new cities.
Which app is better for a small business?
Delm ‑ Estimated Delivery Date offers a fundamental improvement to the customer experience that is beneficial for any sized business. Quiver is potentially useful to a small business if its customer base is located in one of the cities it serves. The higher costs associated with immediate delivery may only be warranted by a business with higher profit margins.
What are the limitations of Quiver?
Quiver's main limitations are its limited geographic availability (currently only London and Paris) and the potential operational complexities of managing immediate deliveries. The lower rating and smaller review count also suggest some potential customer satisfaction issues.
Does Delm ‑ Estimated Delivery Date handle the actual shipping?
No, Delm ‑ Estimated Delivery Date focuses on providing accurate *estimates* for delivery. It integrates with your existing shipping process but does not handle the fulfillment itself. The merchant is responsible for fulfilling all orders.
