Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants in 2026, especially those involved in manufacturing or creating products from raw materials, Materials Inventory appears to be the significantly better choice. Its positive user feedback, clear feature set focused on raw material management, and emphasis on profitability tracking make it a compelling option. The lack of any information or reviews for Descartes Pixi WMS Connect makes it a risky proposition. Unless a merchant has specific knowledge or a prior relationship with Descartes Pixi WMS Connect and its capabilities, it is difficult to justify choosing it over Materials Inventory, which offers a proven track record and well-defined functionality.
