DeskMoz ‑24x7 Live Chat Agents vs Notch – Customer Support Suitefor Shopify (2026)
DeskMoz and Notch both offer comprehensive customer support solutions for Shopify merchants, but they differ significantly in their approach. DeskMoz emphasizes a fully managed, in-house team of live chat agents providing 24/7 support across multiple channels, including live chat, email, and social media. They highlight custom training for their agents and even backend CMS management. Notch, on the other hand, positions itself as a full-service customer support suite that combines AI precision with expert human oversight. Their focus is on automating support using AI while providing expert assistance, aiming to simplify the merchant's workload and drive business growth through data-driven insights. DeskMoz seems to target merchants who value personalized, human interaction and require support staff capable of directly managing orders and backend modifications. Its strength lies in providing readily available, trained human agents. Notch aims to cater to businesses seeking to leverage AI for automation and scalability, offering a hands-off approach to customer support with a focus on generating insights for revenue growth. A key difference lies in DeskMoz providing hands-on CMS and backend support, which Notch does not explicitly mention.

Our Verdict
DeskMoz is a better fit for merchants who need a dedicated team of live agents capable of handling complex customer interactions, including order modifications and backend CMS management. It's ideal for businesses that value personalized customer service and have a need for hands-on support staff. The relatively small number of reviews compared to Notch may signal a newer or less widely adopted app.
Notch is better suited for merchants who prioritize scalability and automation, preferring to leverage AI to handle routine inquiries and generate data-driven insights. It's a good choice for businesses that want to minimize their direct involvement in customer support and focus on overall business growth. While both offer good support, Notch's AI element will likely provide faster responses to simple questions, but might lack the personalization offered by DeskMoz.
