Our Verdict
For merchants already using DHL Express and focused on international shipping, the DHL Express (Official) app is likely the better choice, despite the lower rating. It provides automation and integration specifically tailored to their needs. However, for merchants primarily focused on increasing sales and reducing cart abandonment through attractive shipping discounts, ShipCut Shipping Discounts ‑ SC is a more suitable option. Its 5/5 rating suggests a higher level of user satisfaction, and its features are designed to directly impact sales performance, assuming that user satisfaction continues over time.
If a merchant is not already using DHL Express, the decision becomes much clearer: ShipCut is the superior choice as it does not have a carrier dependency. However, if a merchant would like to expand to international shipping with DHL Express, the DHL Express app is essential. The rating would then be the deciding factor: does the value of the DHL integration outweigh the potentially lower satisfaction rating?
