DHL Express (Official) vs Zapiet ‑ Rates by Zip Codefor Shopify (2026)
DHL Express (Official) and Zapiet ‑ Rates by Zip Code address distinct shipping needs for Shopify merchants. DHL Express focuses on international shipping, offering a comprehensive solution for merchants with existing DHL Express accounts who want to streamline order fulfillment, label printing, customs clearance, and provide live rates. It automates processes and aims to improve customer experience through various DHL delivery options. Zapiet, on the other hand, specializes in accurate delivery rate calculation based on zip codes, targeting merchants, particularly those in the UK and Canada, concerned about underestimating shipping costs and those providing local delivery services. The primary difference lies in their scope: DHL Express is a complete international shipping management tool, while Zapiet ‑ Rates by Zip Code is a focused solution for calculating accurate delivery rates based on location. DHL Express emphasizes automation and integration with DHL's services, while Zapiet highlights accurate pricing and compatibility with local delivery options. The significantly higher rating and review count for Zapiet suggest greater user satisfaction within its niche, although the low review count for DHL makes it difficult to judge true user satisfaction. The integration between the two apps is not mentioned, so users should consider their needs separately.

Our Verdict
Merchants already using DHL Express and needing a tightly integrated solution for international shipping will find DHL Express (Official) a useful, albeit potentially complex, tool. However, given its low rating, alternative DHL integrations should be researched. For merchants primarily concerned with accurate local or regional delivery rate calculations based on zip codes, especially those in the UK or Canada, Zapiet ‑ Rates by Zip Code is the clear choice. Its higher rating and positive reviews suggest a more reliable and user-friendly experience within its specific domain. The low number of reviews for DHL is a concern and should give merchants pause before choosing.
If a merchant needs *both* accurate zip code based rates *and* integrated international shipping, they might need to use both apps or look for a third-party solution that combines these features. Zapiet's compatibility with its Pickup + Delivery app is a major advantage for merchants offering local delivery services.
