Diatome vs SureBright Product Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
Diatome and SureBright Product Protection are both highly rated (5/5) Shopify apps designed to enhance the customer experience and generate new revenue streams, but they cater to fundamentally different needs. Diatome focuses on establishing a circular economy within a merchant's store, enabling resale, trade-in, and upcycling of products. This appeals to environmentally conscious brands and customers who prioritize sustainability. SureBright Product Protection, on the other hand, offers extended warranty and shipping insurance options, providing customers with purchase protection and boosting merchant profits through revenue sharing on sold plans. The primary difference lies in their value proposition. Diatome aims to extend the lifecycle of products, reduce waste, and foster customer loyalty through sustainable practices. Its key features revolve around automated resale flows, mixed basket capabilities, and rewarding sellers with store credit or cashback. SureBright, however, focuses on minimizing customer risk, handling claims, and boosting profits for merchants by providing comprehensive product protection plans. This is especially relevant for merchants selling products prone to damage or loss during shipping or use. SureBright boasts 24/7 support and quick claim filing, emphasizing convenience and customer satisfaction in handling product mishaps.
