Both 'Digital Content Sales with DRM' and 'Digital Downloads Pendora' allow Shopify merchants to sell digital products. Our Verdict
For merchants deeply concerned about piracy and needing advanced licensing options, 'Digital Content Sales with DRM' is the clear choice. Its DRM capabilities and flexible licensing, although potentially adding complexity, provide the necessary protection and monetization strategies for valuable digital assets. However, for merchants seeking a straightforward solution to sell basic digital downloads with minimal setup and automated delivery, 'Digital Downloads Pendora' is the better option. Its higher rating (based on a significantly larger number of reviews) suggests greater user satisfaction with its ease of use and general functionality. If selling software with license keys is important, Pendora is likely the better choice, as DRM does not apply to this. Ultimately, the best app depends on the specific needs and priorities of the Shopify merchant.
