Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a complete solution for selling various types of downloadable files, Digital Downloads ‑ MEGA is the stronger choice due to its higher rating, existing user base, and broader feature set for file management and customization. It's well-suited for selling ebooks, music, templates, and other traditional digital goods. However, if the core requirement revolves around selling unique, autogenerated codes to unlock services or digital content, then Palley: Sell Digital Codes is the more appropriate option, despite its lack of ratings and reviews. Palley is especially useful for subscription services, software licenses, or exclusive content access tied to unique codes. Due to the lack of social proof for Palley, merchants should exercise caution and test the app thoroughly.
