Our Verdict
For merchants primarily selling downloadable files like e-books, digital art, or templates where unique keys aren't required, Digital Downloads could be a seemingly straightforward option. However, the significantly lower rating (2.4/5) raises concerns about user satisfaction and potential issues. License Keys & Codes‑ DPL is a better fit for businesses selling software, game codes, or gift cards requiring unique license keys or access codes. Its higher rating (4.9/5) and specialized features like bulk import, code management, and advanced anti-fraud suggest a more robust and reliable solution for managing and delivering digital products requiring individual keys. Given the rating disparity, License Keys & Codes - DPL appears to be the stronger option even for merchants not focused on keys, as it's features suggest better developer support and future integrations.
