Our Verdict
Choosing between Digital Downloads and MP Digital Downloads depends on the merchant's priorities. Digital Downloads, while poorly rated, may be suitable for merchants seeking a basic, straightforward solution and aren't overly concerned with advanced security or automation. Its advantage lies in its established presence and familiarity, despite the negative reviews, suggesting a willingness to troubleshoot issues with existing code. MP Digital Downloads, despite the lack of reviews, is a better fit for merchants prioritizing security, automation, and analytics. Its instant delivery and file protection features make it ideal for selling sensitive digital content like software or courses. The risk is the lack of user feedback to assess its reliability. Due diligence is warranted before commiting.
