Our Verdict
For merchants managing multiple print-on-demand stores and struggling with order fulfillment across various platforms, Digital On Demand offers a centralized solution that could significantly improve efficiency. However, the lack of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and actual performance. For Shopify merchants utilizing PayPal and experiencing issues with holds, disputes, or delayed access to funds, Proveway PayPal Tracking Sync is the clear choice. Its high rating and abundant positive reviews suggest it effectively solves the problem of synchronizing tracking data with PayPal to enhance seller protection and accelerate payment disbursement.
Given the absence of any reviews for Digital On Demand, Proveway is the safer recommendation unless a merchant has very specific needs related to consolidating POD operations and is willing to take a risk on a new, unproven app. Proveway addresses a tangible pain point with demonstrable success based on user feedback.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Proveway is likely easier to set up, given its emphasis on automated tracking sync. Digital On Demand requires product mapping, which could involve a more manual configuration process.
Does Digital On Demand offer any features Proveway doesn't?
Yes, Digital On Demand offers centralized management of POD orders across multiple stores and supports internal order statuses, features not present in Proveway.
Is Proveway suitable for merchants not using PayPal?
No, Proveway is specifically designed for merchants using PayPal. Its core functionality revolves around syncing tracking information to PayPal accounts.
Which app has better customer support?
Based on available information, it's difficult to determine. However, the high number of reviews for Proveway suggests a more established presence and potentially more readily available support resources. The lack of reviews for Digital On Demand makes it hard to assess its customer support quality.
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
Potentially, but there might be some redundancy. Digital On Demand focuses on internal order management for POD businesses, while Proveway focuses on external tracking with PayPal. A merchant could use both if they felt Digital On Demand's internal organization was helpful, while also utilizing Proveway's payment protections.
