Digitally ‑ Digital Products vs Meety: Appointment Booking Appfor Shopify (2026)
Digitally ‑ Digital Products and Meety: Appointment Booking App, while both residing in the 'Digital Products' Shopify category, cater to distinct needs within that space. Digitally focuses on selling and delivering downloadable digital assets like e-books, PDFs, MP3s, videos, and license keys, emphasizing secure file delivery, license tracking, and branded customer experiences. Meety, on the other hand, is an appointment booking app designed for merchants offering services or events, enabling customers to schedule appointments directly through the Shopify store. The core difference lies in the product being sold: Digitally handles tangible digital goods, while Meety manages the scheduling and delivery of service-based offerings or event attendance. Digitally boasts features like PDF stamping, QR code delivery, and built-in analytics tailored to digital product sales. Meety prioritizes scheduling flexibility, calendar integration (Google, Outlook, Zoom), automated notifications, and customer portal functionality for appointment management. The chosen app should align with the merchant's product type - digital downloads versus scheduled services.

Our Verdict
For merchants focused on selling and securely delivering digital files like e-books, software licenses, or music, Digitally ‑ Digital Products is the more appropriate choice. Its features like PDF stamping, download limits, and license tracking are specifically designed for this type of business. However, a lower number of reviews may warrant further investigation of support and potential issues.
If the business model revolves around providing services or events requiring appointment scheduling, Meety: Appointment Booking App is the clear winner. Its robust scheduling features, calendar integrations, and customer management tools provide a comprehensive solution for managing appointments and client interactions. The significantly higher number of reviews suggests a more established and reliable product.
Common Questions
Which app is better for selling online courses?
While Digitally can facilitate selling course materials as downloadable files (PDFs, videos), Meety is better suited if your course involves live sessions or scheduled consultations.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially. You could use Digitally to sell downloadable resources related to a service booked through Meety. For example, a coaching session booked with Meety could include a worksheet delivered via Digitally.
Which app offers better protection against piracy?
Digitally offers features like PDF stamping and download limits specifically designed to protect digital content from unauthorized distribution, making it the better choice for preventing piracy.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Without direct access or user testimonials directly comparing ease of use it is hard to say. However, the higher number of reviews for Meety might suggest a more polished and user-friendly interface, but this is not conclusive. The right answer relies on matching the feature set to your use case and then evaluating which app is simpler for that specific use case.
Which app is more suitable for a small business owner with limited technical skills?
Both apps claim seamless integration, but Meety's extensive integrations with popular tools like Google Calendar and Zoom might make it a more appealing choice for small business owners already using those platforms. Digitally requires understanding file upload and security best practices.
