Our Verdict
If your goal is to integrate your Shopify store with your Discord community, offer exclusive perks to Discord members, and streamline login through Discord authentication, Discord Connect is the clear choice. It creates a seamless experience for customers already active in your Discord server. However, if you need to strictly control who has access to your store's prices and products, require detailed customer information during registration, and prioritize manual verification, Singleton | Verify Customers is the better option. The latter is especially valuable for businesses with specific customer requirements or those selling sensitive products.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Discord Connect requires connecting to a Discord developer app, which may involve some technical configuration. Singleton | Verify Customers likely has a simpler setup focused on customizing the registration form and approval process.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Potentially, but this could create a confusing user experience. It's best to choose the app that aligns most closely with your primary goal: community integration or customer verification.
Which app is better for a subscription-based business?
Singleton | Verify Customers is likely better for subscription businesses as it provides direct control over who can access and purchase subscriptions. Discord Connect could supplement this by offering exclusive Discord roles to subscribers.
Which app is better for a business with age restrictions?
Singleton | Verify Customers allows you to add custom fields to your registration to confirm age and then either approve or disapprove customers. Discord Connect does not have the functionality to add custom fields.
Which has better data reporting?
Neither app description emphasizes data reporting. However, Singleton | Verify Customers likely offers more data on registered vs. approved customers since it focuses on internal verification.
