Discount Deck vs WebAppsLive ‑ Fields Managerfor Shopify (2026)
Discount Deck and WebAppsLive - Fields Manager are both Shopify apps but cater to drastically different merchant needs, despite sharing the 'Metafields' category. Discount Deck aims to boost conversions by displaying available coupons on the customer's My Page and cart page, offering a potentially easier checkout experience. Its key selling points are seamless coupon display, easy integration using app blocks, and a promise of user data privacy by not storing personal data on external servers. On the other hand, WebAppsLive - Fields Manager focuses on simplifying the management of product metafields, specifically single-line text fields, which are otherwise difficult to manage in bulk directly through the Shopify admin. WebAppsLive - Fields Manager's strength lies in its bulk editing capabilities, allowing merchants to view, edit, and delete metafields either individually or in bulk. It further extends its functionality by enabling printing of custom field values on print slips, making it useful for merchants who need to include custom product information on their packaging or invoices. The biggest differentiating factor is the reviews and ratings, WebAppsLive - Fields Manager has a 5/5 rating based on 8 reviews compared to Discount Deck, which has a rating of 0/5 with 0 reviews. This gives WebAppsLive - Fields Manager a significant edge regarding trust. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on increasing sales through coupon campaigns and improving the customer checkout experience by highlighting available discounts, Discount Deck seems like the obvious choice, despite the lack of reviews. However, the absence of any user feedback makes it a risky option. Merchants should thoroughly test it before committing. For merchants struggling with managing a large number of product metafields and who need to edit these fields in bulk or print them on shipping labels, WebAppsLive - Fields Manager is the better option. Its positive rating and specific functionality provide a more confident investment.
Given the current state, WebAppsLive ‑ Fields Manager is the generally safer bet due to its positive reviews and specific, demonstrated functionality. Discount Deck should only be considered if the merchant is highly invested in coupon-based marketing and is willing to take a risk on a newly launched app, assuming they are very sure they will use coupons and want a My Account and Cart display feature.
