Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive suite of discount options, including volume discounts, wholesale pricing, and shipping discounts, Discount Depot is the better choice. Its native integration and customization options offer greater flexibility in crafting a diverse pricing strategy. However, merchants primarily focused on boosting average order value through automated free gift offers and simplified BOGO promotions will find EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift a more suitable solution. Its high rating and large user base suggest reliability and ease of use for the specific task of cart upselling.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's specific needs and priorities. Discount Depot caters to businesses requiring a broader discount arsenal, while EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift excels at streamlined free gift based cart upsells. The high review count of EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift lends it an advantage regarding social proof, but merchants should weigh this against the wider feature set of Discount Depot if their discount strategy is more multifaceted.
