Discount Labelz vs Novo: Ticker & Marqueefor Shopify (2026)
Discount Labelz and Novo: Ticker & Marquee both aim to enhance the visual appeal and promotional aspects of a Shopify store, but they target vastly different areas. Discount Labelz focuses specifically on showcasing discounts directly on product images with automatically calculated savings stickers. Its strength lies in visual merchandising, immediately communicating savings and potentially increasing conversions. Novo: Ticker & Marquee, on the other hand, provides a dynamic announcement bar for various promotional messages, updates, and announcements. It aims to engage customers with scrolling text, images, and customizable branding, allowing merchants to highlight various incentives like free shipping, discount codes, or flash sales. The ideal target merchant for Discount Labelz is one heavily reliant on visual discounts and sales to drive purchases. A store regularly offering promotions and wanting to prominently display savings on individual product images would benefit. In contrast, Novo: Ticker & Marquee caters to merchants seeking a broader announcement platform to communicate various time-sensitive or important information to their customers. A store looking to improve overall engagement and communication of key updates, promotions, or brand messaging would be more suited for this app. The app focuses on adding functionality that may not come natively with all themes and requires no specific theme integration to use.

Our Verdict
While both apps address enhancing the customer experience, Discount Labelz is best suited for Shopify stores with a strong emphasis on visual discounting and sales. If the primary goal is to immediately highlight savings on product images to drive conversions, this app is a direct solution. On the other hand, Novo: Ticker & Marquee offers broader application. For merchants seeking a dynamic way to communicate various promotional messages, updates, or announcements through a customizable announcement bar, it provides a more versatile solution. Given the higher rating and wider functionality, Novo: Ticker & Marquee holds broader appeal, but Discount Labelz offers a laser focus that could be preferable for specific discounting needs.
