Discountly – Smart Discounts vs YouQuote: Request a Quote Formfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between Discountly – Smart Discounts and YouQuote: Request a Quote Form face a clear divergence in functionality and initial reputation. Discountly aims to be a comprehensive discount management solution, offering a wide array of discount types (volume, product, shipping, upsells, Buy X Get Y) triggered by 15 criteria through Shopify functions. Our Verdict
Discountly – Smart Discounts, despite its ambitious feature set, is a risky choice given its lack of reviews. Merchants considering it should proceed with extreme caution and look for independent user testimonials or a trial period to assess its reliability and functionality before committing. YouQuote: Request a Quote Form is the clear winner for merchants needing a quote generation solution. Its strong rating and existing user base indicate a reliable and effective application.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the core business need. If the primary goal is to offer varied discounts, explore alternatives to Discountly that have proven track records. If facilitating custom quotes is paramount, YouQuote is the superior option.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the feature set, YouQuote is likely easier to use as it focuses on a single function (quote requests), whereas Discountly offers a wide array of discounting options and requires integration with Shopify functions, suggesting a steeper learning curve.
Which app is better for increasing average order value?
Discountly – Smart Discounts is designed specifically to increase average order value through upsells, Buy X Get Y offers, and other discount strategies. YouQuote's impact on average order value is indirect, primarily through facilitating sales of potentially larger or more complex orders.
Which app is riskier to install?
Discountly – Smart Discounts is riskier due to its complete lack of reviews. The absence of user feedback makes it impossible to assess its performance, reliability, or potential compatibility issues. YouQuote, with its positive reviews, presents a lower risk.
Which app is suitable for B2B businesses?
YouQuote is likely better suited for B2B businesses that offer custom pricing or volume discounts and require a streamlined quote request process. While Discountly could potentially offer B2B discounts, its lack of reviews makes it a less reliable choice compared to YouQuote for this market segment.
What are potential alternatives to Discountly – Smart Discounts given its lack of reviews?
Merchants should explore established Shopify discount apps with positive reviews and a proven track record, such as Bold Discounts, or apps from developers with several well-regarded applications. Look for features like volume discounts, product-specific discounts, and BOGO offers.
