Discounts Hub Unique Discount vs MOD Discountsfor Shopify (2026)
Discounts Hub Unique Discount and MOD Discounts both aim to provide Shopify merchants with extended discounting capabilities beyond the platform's native features. However, they cater to different segments. Discounts Hub Unique Discount appears to be a more general-purpose, user-friendly solution focusing on a wide variety of discount types and ease of use, claiming to not require code injection. Its strength lies in breadth of functionality with specific discount types like 'Buy X Any Y with limits' being highlighted. MOD Discounts, on the other hand, positions itself as a more advanced and technically oriented tool, specializing in tiered volume discounts and offering granular control through metafields, custom attributes, and product tags, appealing more to those with technical resources or complex discounting needs.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing ease of use, a wide array of discount types, and a simple setup process, Discounts Hub Unique Discount seems like the better choice, provided the merchant doesn't require extremely granular control. The significant number of positive reviews further reinforces this perception. However, for stores needing sophisticated volume discount strategies with precise control over rules, especially those managed by technical teams comfortable working with metafields and custom attributes, MOD Discounts provides the necessary tools. While its review count is currently low, the app's feature set is compelling for advanced use cases. A trial of both apps is highly recommended to test suitability within a specific business context, paying close attention to ease of configuration and the support offered.
