Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to attract customers and increase sales through a wide variety of discounts and promotional offers, then Discounty: Bulk Discount Sales is the more suitable choice. Its comprehensive discount management features allow for flexible and effective sales strategies. On the other hand, if your business relies heavily on Cash on Delivery payments, especially in a dropshipping context, and you want to simplify the order process, reduce fake orders, and boost AOV with upsells, EasySell COD Form & Upsells is the better option. It streamlines COD management and provides tools to capitalize on post-purchase opportunities.
Ultimately, choosing between Discounty and EasySell depends on which aspect of your business – discounting or COD order management – needs the most attention and optimization. A merchant could even potentially benefit from using *both* apps if their business model is conducive to both cash on delivery and a sophisticated discounting strategy.
Common Questions
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
Potentially, yes. Discounty focuses on discounts, while EasySell handles COD order optimization. If a merchant utilizes COD and wants to implement a sophisticated discounting strategy, they *could* use both. However, careful planning is needed to avoid conflicting promotions or a confusing user experience.
Is one app easier to use than the other?
Based on the descriptions, neither app explicitly claims superior ease of use. Discounty emphasizes an 'easy and fast' setup, while EasySell highlights a 'smooth shopping experience.' User reviews would offer further insight, but are not provided beyond the rating and review count.
Which app is better for increasing Average Order Value (AOV)?
EasySell directly targets AOV increase through upsells, downsells, and quantity offers. Discounty can indirectly increase AOV by incentivizing larger purchases through volume and quantity discounts, but it's not as direct as EasySell's approach.
Does either app integrate with marketing platforms?
EasySell mentions integration with Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and Google through tracking pixels. Discounty does not explicitly mention integrations with marketing platforms in its description, however, promotional badges and countdown timers can be used to highlight marketing efforts.
Which app is better for reducing fraudulent orders?
EasySell provides phone number verification via SMS/WhatsApp, IP address blocking, and postal code limitations specifically designed to minimize fake orders. Discounty does not offer such fraud prevention features.
