Disputely vs OTP ‑ CoD Order Verificationfor Shopify (2026)

Our Verdict
Choosing between Disputely and OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification depends entirely on the specific fraud challenges a Shopify merchant faces. If the primary concern is chargebacks and payment disputes, Disputely, despite its lack of reviews, appears to offer a potentially comprehensive solution with its automated management and real-time alerts. However, the absence of reviews introduces risk. On the other hand, merchants struggling with fake CoD orders and high RTO rates, particularly in regions where CoD is prevalent, would find OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification a more suitable option. The higher rating and positive reviews, albeit limited, suggest it effectively addresses its target problem.
In short, if you're losing money to payment fraud, *consider* Disputely after careful vetting due to the zero reviews. If fake CoD orders are your pain point, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification is the clear winner based on the available information. Always prioritize apps with more reviews, but remember to tailor your choice to your specific needs. In this scenario, waiting for at least a few reviews on Disputely might be wise before committing.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on their descriptions, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification seems easier to set up, especially with its built-in Shopify OTP verification. Disputely's setup likely requires more effort due to the need to connect to various payment processors, CRMs, and sales tools.
Which app is better for a merchant in the USA?
It depends on the merchant's business model. If they primarily offer digital products and experience high chargeback rates, Disputely might be relevant (after proper vetting). However, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification is less relevant for merchants in the USA who don't heavily rely on CoD.
What if I'm experiencing *both* chargebacks and fake CoD orders?
Unfortunately, neither app fully addresses both problems. You would likely need to use both apps (or find alternative solutions) to cover both types of fraud. Start with the app addressing the bigger financial loss first.
Does either app offer a free trial?
The provided data doesn't indicate whether either app offers a free trial. You would need to check the app listings on the Shopify App Store for that information.
Are these apps GDPR compliant?
The provided data doesn't mention GDPR compliance. You would need to check the app listings and privacy policies on the Shopify App Store to determine their compliance status. Given that OTP collects phone numbers and Disputely connects to CRMs, you need to assess their compliance with data privacy laws.
