Disputely vs Subunofor Shopify (2026)
Disputely and Subuno both aim to prevent fraud and chargebacks for Shopify merchants, but their approaches and current standing differ significantly. Disputely, despite lacking any user reviews or ratings, positions itself as a fully automated solution emphasizing proactive dispute prevention across various payment processors and sales tools. Its value proposition lies in its 'no manual work' approach, suggesting a hands-off experience for merchants. In contrast, Subuno, with a perfect 5/5 rating based on 4 reviews, offers a more customizable, rules-based platform that integrates with existing processes. Subuno caters to merchants who prefer a level of control and fine-tuning in their fraud prevention strategies. They offer manual review tools, integrated third-party data analytics, and order flagging/holding based on various rules and criteria. Given the information available in 2026, Subuno appears to be the less risky choice. While Disputely promises full automation, its complete lack of user feedback raises serious concerns about its reliability and effectiveness. Subuno, backed by positive reviews, provides a more transparent and controllable system with customizable rules and manual review options. Disputely's target audience seems to be larger enterprises dealing with high chargeback volumes and looking for a completely hands-off approach. Subuno might appeal more to small and medium-sized businesses who want more control and transparency over their fraud prevention system. Ultimately, both apps aim to protect revenue but cater to different merchant needs and levels of technical expertise.

Our Verdict
Based on the limited data available, Subuno appears to be the more reliable choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its positive rating and focus on customization and manual review tools suggest a more flexible and transparent fraud prevention system. Merchants who prefer hands-on management and detailed insights into their orders will likely find Subuno more suitable.
Disputely, with its promise of fully automated chargeback prevention, may appeal to larger enterprises with a high volume of transactions and a desire for a completely hands-off solution. However, the complete lack of reviews makes it a risky choice until proven otherwise. Merchants considering Disputely should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly investigate its capabilities before committing.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Disputely is likely easier to set up initially, given its focus on full automation. Subuno requires configuration of rules and familiarity with its manual review tools. However, Subuno's customizability may lead to a more effective long-term solution for merchants who are willing to invest the time to learn it.
Which app is better for merchants with limited technical expertise?
Disputely's promise of fully automated prevention makes it appear more appealing for merchants with limited technical expertise, but its lack of reviews make it an unproven option. Subuno's documentation and customer support (not mentioned, but generally expected) are crucial for less tech-savvy users.
Which app offers more transparency in its fraud prevention methods?
Subuno offers more transparency with its customizable rules and manual review tools. Merchants can see exactly how orders are being flagged and rejected. Disputely's automated system may be less transparent, making it difficult to understand why certain actions are being taken.
Which app is more cost-effective for a small business with low transaction volume?
Without pricing information, it is impossible to definitively say which is more cost-effective. Subuno may have lower costs due to its modular nature. Disputely might be more expensive if it is aimed at high-volume enterprises. A trial is essential for proper comparison.
What should merchants do before committing to either app?
Merchants should seek out more user reviews and testimonials for both apps, if available. Contacting both companies to request a demo or trial period is crucial. Carefully evaluate pricing plans and ensure the app integrates seamlessly with their existing Shopify store setup.
