Disputely vs Yofifor Shopify (2026)
Disputely and Yofi both aim to reduce fraud for Shopify merchants, but they approach the problem from different angles. Disputely focuses on preventing chargebacks and payment disputes by connecting to payment processors and CRMs to identify and prevent fraudulent activity before it results in a dispute. Its core value proposition is automated chargeback management and real-time fraud alerts. Yofi, on the other hand, targets return fraud and policy abuse. It uses AI and telemetry to identify suspicious customer behavior related to returns, providing customer service representatives with risk scores and rationale to make informed refund decisions. The key difference lies in the type of fraud targeted. Disputely tackles payment-related fraud leading to chargebacks, while Yofi concentrates on return abuse. Disputely promises full automation, while Yofi empowers CX reps with information to make better decisions. Given the limited user feedback available, it's difficult to assess the real-world effectiveness of either app, though Yofi has a slight edge based on having some positive reviews. Selecting between the two depends heavily on the merchant's specific pain points and the type of fraud impacting their business the most.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with chargebacks and payment fraud, and who desire a fully automated solution, Disputely *could* be a good choice. However, the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating raise serious concerns about its reliability and effectiveness. Merchants suffering from significant return fraud should consider Yofi. While it requires more manual intervention and integration with customer service, the positive (though limited) reviews suggest it can be effective in identifying and mitigating return abuse.
Ultimately, the limited data makes a definitive recommendation challenging. Merchants should proceed with caution with both apps and carefully evaluate their specific needs and risk tolerance. A trial period with Yofi might be a more prudent starting point given the some positive user feedback, even with its limitations.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Disputely claims full automation which *suggests* easier use after setup, whereas Yofi likely requires more hands-on management and staff training for utilizing the risk scores effectively.
Which app is more effective at preventing chargebacks?
Disputely directly addresses chargeback prevention, but without reviews, its effectiveness is unknown. Yofi doesn't directly prevent chargebacks but might indirectly reduce them by preventing fraudulent returns that could lead to customer disputes.
Which app is better for a large e-commerce business?
Yofi's ability to segment good and bad actors and empower CX reps may be more scalable for large businesses with established customer service teams. Disputely's automation may be advantageous for smaller businesses with limited resources, assuming it functions as described.
What information is needed to setup each app?
Disputely needs connections to payment processors, CRMs, and sales tools. Yofi needs integration to telemetry data, return policies, and potentially, customer service workflows.
Which app poses less risk for negative ROI?
Given Disputely's 0/5 rating and lack of reviews, there is a higher risk associated with it. Yofi's 5/5 rating, even with only 3 reviews, provides a slightly higher level of confidence.
