Donation Pop | Pop‑up in cart vs Fundlet Fundraiserfor Shopify (2026)
Donation Pop | Pop‑up in cart and Fundlet Fundraiser both aim to help Shopify merchants integrate charitable donations into their online stores, but they approach this goal differently. Donation Pop focuses on a simple, unobtrusive donation request presented as a pop-up on the cart page before checkout. It's designed for merchants who already support a cause and want to provide customers with a convenient way to contribute during the purchase process. The customization options allow merchants to tailor the pop-up's appearance and donation amounts to fit their brand. Fundlet Fundraiser, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive fundraising solution, allowing merchants to create dedicated, branded popup shops to support specific causes. It provides tools to track sales goals, schedule campaigns, and tag orders, making it suitable for more elaborate fundraising initiatives. Fundlet Fundraiser aims to transform fundraising into an acquisition channel by creating visually appealing pop-up shops, while Donation Pop prioritizes simplicity and integration into the existing checkout flow. Fundlet Fundraiser provides tools for extensive data tracking and campaign management whereas Donation Pop offers basic customization of content and design. The choice between the two depends on the scale and nature of the merchant's fundraising efforts.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a quick and simple way to collect donations for an existing cause, Donation Pop | Pop‑up in cart is the better choice. Its ease of integration and customization options make it a convenient add-on to the existing checkout process. The positive rating and user reviews offer a degree of confidence.
However, for merchants looking to launch dedicated fundraising campaigns, track progress towards goals, and create a more branded fundraising experience, Fundlet Fundraiser is the more suitable option, despite its lack of ratings and reviews. It provides the tools necessary for more elaborate and targeted fundraising efforts, though it likely requires more setup and management. Keep in mind, though, that with no reviews, its real-world performance and user experience are unproven as of 2026.
