Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing deep WhatsApp integration and leveraging WhatsApp as their primary communication channel, Dondy: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat appears to be a strong choice. Its focus suggests potentially more specialized features and potentially easier usability. Conversely, Hextom: WhatsApp, SMS & Push is better suited for businesses seeking a comprehensive omnichannel solution, allowing them to reach customers through WhatsApp, SMS, and push notifications. Merchants need to consider their existing communication strategy and desired level of channel diversification when making their decision. If SMS and push notifications are critical, Hextom is the clear winner. If WhatsApp is king, Dondy may be better. In 2026, features such as AI-powered content suggestions, dynamic segmentation and advanced analytics will become essential factors that can differentiate the value delivered by each app.
