Dondy: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat vs TxtCart: SMS Marketing & AIfor Shopify (2026)
Dondy: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat and TxtCart: SMS Marketing & AI both aim to help Shopify merchants recover abandoned carts, but they approach this goal through different channels and with varying levels of AI integration. Dondy leverages WhatsApp for marketing and customer interaction, potentially appealing to businesses with a customer base actively using WhatsApp. TxtCart, on the other hand, focuses solely on SMS marketing and emphasizes its AI-native capabilities to drive personalized and automated conversations. The choice between the two depends on the merchant's target audience, preferred communication channel, and desired level of AI automation. TxtCart positions itself as a more sophisticated, AI-driven solution, emphasizing features like real-time AI agent engagement, dynamic discounts, and built-in compliance. Their description highlights its ability to scale from dropshipping to enterprise businesses. Dondy, while also highly rated, is presented more generically as a 'WhatsApp Marketing+Chat' app, leaving the specific functionalities and features to be discovered by the user. The difference in review count could indicate varying market penetration, brand awareness, or a difference in the app's lifecycle stage. Ultimately, the merchant must decide which communication channel and features will better serve their specific customer base and marketing goals.

Our Verdict
For merchants targeting a younger demographic comfortable with SMS and seeking a highly automated, AI-driven solution, TxtCart is the better choice. The AI agent's ability to engage in real-time conversations and personalize offers could significantly boost cart recovery rates and drive sales. However, if the merchant's customer base is more active on WhatsApp and they prefer a more direct, personal approach to customer interaction, Dondy: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat might be a better fit. It allows for a more hands-on approach to customer service and marketing. Consider the channel preference of your target customer when making your decision.
TxtCart's one-click setup and claims of immediate results also make it appealing for merchants prioritizing ease of use and quick implementation. The lower review count, despite a higher rating, may warrant a more in-depth trial period to ensure compatibility with specific store setups and marketing workflows. Ultimately, the 'best' app depends on the specific needs and technical capabilities of the merchant.
