Our Verdict
Love Loyalty Program & Rewards is the stronger choice for merchants actively seeking to build a loyalty program with features such as points, VIP tiers, referrals, POS support, and memberships. The high rating and numerous positive reviews suggest a user-friendly experience and effective results. Doppelganger might be considered only by merchants experiencing significant issues with duplicate customer accounts and needing to clean up their data. However, the low rating and limited reviews raise concerns about its reliability and effectiveness.
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants in 2026, Love Loyalty Program & Rewards is the superior option, offering a comprehensive suite of loyalty features and a proven track record. Doppelganger is a niche tool best suited for very specific data management issues, but its current performance metrics suggest that further due diligence is required before implementation.
