Doran Product Reviews App & QA vs LastHour Product Views Counterfor Shopify (2026)
Doran Product Reviews App & QA and LastHour Product Views Counter both aim to enhance Shopify stores, but they focus on drastically different strategies. Doran is primarily a product review and question-and-answer platform, designed to build trust and provide detailed product information directly from customers. Its strength lies in accumulating a substantial number of reviews, indicating wide adoption and potentially robust support. The target audience is merchants prioritizing customer feedback and transparency to increase sales. The app leverages existing customer satisfaction to improve conversion rates. LastHour Product Views Counter, on the other hand, is an AI-powered conversion optimization suite, designed to instill urgency and scarcity. While sharing 'social proof' as a category, it goes beyond simple reviews. Its focus is on dynamic elements like real-time visitor counts, stock counters, and countdown timers. The target audience for LastHour is merchants seeking immediate boosts in conversion rates through persuasive tactics. It aims to create a sense of FOMO and encourage rapid purchasing decisions. Although it boasts similar perfect rating, its minimal review count contrasts sharply with Doran's, suggesting that it could be a newer app.

Our Verdict
For merchants focused on long-term trust-building and leveraging existing customer feedback, Doran Product Reviews App & QA is the superior choice. The high review count signals a well-established and likely reliable platform for gathering and displaying customer reviews. This is especially important for products where customer testimonials play a key role in the purchasing decision.
However, if the primary goal is to rapidly increase conversion rates through urgency and scarcity tactics, LastHour Product Views Counter may be more appealing. Merchants selling products with limited availability or those wanting to create a sense of FOMO will find value in its real-time counters and countdown timers. It should be noted that the low review count warrants a more cautious approach, possibly testing it on a smaller product range first.
Common Questions
Which app is better for SEO?
Doran Product Reviews App & QA is likely better for SEO due to the generation of user-generated content (reviews) that includes relevant keywords, potentially improving search engine rankings. LastHour's features likely have a less direct impact on SEO.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the feature sets, Doran Product Reviews App & QA is likely easier to set up. Review apps are typically well-documented and follow a familiar pattern. LastHour, with its multiple dynamic elements and AI integration, might require more configuration.
Does either app slow down my website?
LastHour's description claims it does not slow down the site, despite having a real-time visitor counter, but it is impossible to verify this without testing. Doran's performance would depend on the way it's integrated and the volume of reviews, but generally review apps are designed to minimize impact on page load times.
Which app offers better long-term value?
Doran Product Reviews App & QA likely offers better long-term value by building a solid foundation of trust and social proof, which can continuously attract new customers. LastHour's tactics, while potentially effective in the short term, may diminish in impact over time as customers become accustomed to them.
If I only have budget for one, which should I choose?
If you need foundational social proof, choose Doran. If you are primarily concerned with increasing short-term sales velocity, and have some existing social proof already, test LastHour.
