Doran Product Reviews App & QA vs Prime Reviewfor Shopify (2026)
Doran Product Reviews App & QA and Prime Review are both Shopify apps in the product reviews category, but cater to drastically different segments of merchants. Doran, with a perfect 5/5 rating based on a substantial 510 reviews, appears to be a well-regarded and established app. In contrast, Prime Review suffers from a very low 1.7/5 rating based on only 4 reviews, suggesting potential user satisfaction issues or it being a very new app. Furthermore, Prime Review's description is in Japanese, hinting at a target audience or origin different from the general English-speaking Shopify merchant base. Our Verdict
Doran Product Reviews App & QA is the clear choice for most Shopify merchants, particularly those prioritizing a proven track record and high user satisfaction. Its extremely positive rating and significant number of reviews provide strong confidence in its quality and reliability. Prime Review, on the other hand, might be suitable for a very specific niche: Japanese-speaking merchants who require a complete product review, favorites, and Q&A solution, and are willing to take a risk on a less established app with a poor rating. Given its low rating, potential users of Prime Review should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly investigate its functionality and support before committing.
